Senior Structural Landscaper

Structural landscape construction on designed residential projects. You’re past needing to be told how to set out a wall, and there’s a path into running sites if you want it.

The job

A hands-on senior role. Retaining, paving and stonework, carpentry elements, drainage, structures, planting and turf, all off a design with a documented scope and a materials schedule behind it.

You work on a small crew alongside subcontract trades. We want someone who can be handed a section of a build and left to get it right, and who can step into leading hand or site supervisor work as it comes up.

A day on the job

• Setout, levels and falls
• Earthworks, drainage and base preparation
• Retaining, paving, stonework and structural elements
• Carpentry: decks, screens, planters, gates
• Soil preparation, planting to the design, mulching and turf
• Safe operation of the plant you’re ticketed for
• Show less experienced hands how it’s done
• Keep the site tidy and the client’s home respected while you’re in it
• Daily timesheet and site paperwork on your phone

What you need

• Right to work in Australia
• Current driver’s licence
• White card
• Cert III in Landscape Construction (AHC30921), a related trade, or equivalent time on structural work
• Able to read a plan and work to a set level without being supervised
• Reliable: on site, on time, every day

Counts in your favour

• Plant tickets: skid steer, excavator, dingo
• Experience running a crew or a section of a build
• Specific experience in concreting, paving, stonework or carpentry
• Irrigation install experience
• Your own work ute
• Horticultural knowledge and plant ID
